Dr Catriona Maybury is a Consultant Dermatologist, working as Medical Director for Dermatica and also practising at St George’s Hospital.
Having completed her specialty training at St John’s Institute of Dermatology (Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital), she then completed a PhD from King’s College London, studying the causes of liver scarring in people with severe psoriasis.
With a special interest in medical dermatology and research, Catriona is passionate about making evidence-based, effective skin treatment accessible to as many people as possible. Here at Dermatica she oversees our treatments’ formulations and their effectiveness. Catriona also manages our clinical team of doctors, pharmacists and nurse practitioners.

Throughout her career, Laurie has worked at a number of different dermatology clinics across the United States, gaining extensive experience in providing a wide range of dermatology services to patients of all ages.

Part of the Dermatica team from day one, Liyya leads our team of pharmacists, ensuring they deliver consistently exceptional clinical care.
As Head of Pharmacy, our customers’ safety is Liyya’s number one priority – she works tirelessly to ensure Dermatica’s pharmacy meets all of our regulatory and governance criteria. Qualified in non-medical prescribing, Liyya also helps Dermatica customers diagnose and manage skin conditions like acne, premature ageing and hyperpigmentation.

Eleni Vounta

Clinical Pharmacist

Eleni Vounta is a registered pharmacist with experience in hospital and community pharmacy as well as the cosmetic industry.
Eleni holds a Master's degree in Pharmaceutics and has a strong interest in personalised cosmeceuticals, which are the driving forces behind her research in clinical pharmacology and pharmacogenomics. Her work was published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology and presented at several conferences.
In addition to her work as a pharmacist, Eleni also volunteers her skills and also organises and participates in social action initiatives.

Rebecca Rowe

A chartered librarian and information specialist with over five years of experience, Rebecca Rowe graduated with a degree from the University of Cambridge and a master's in librarianship from the University of Sheffield.
Rebecca has worked in medical librarianship and has a postgraduate certificate in systematic reviews in health. She’s also worked on several systematic reviews and published research in cardiothoracic medicine.
Rebecca is interested in statistics and data and believes that everyone should have access to high-quality medical evidence to make evidence-backed decisions in healthcare.

Khawar Hussain

Dr Khawar Hussain is a Consultant Dermatologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and Group Dermatology Lead at Dermatica. Khawar completed his specialty training at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and has a special interest in medical dermatology.
Alongside his training he has completed teaching, academic and business and management qualifications. He has published over sixty peer-reviewed publications in high impact factor journals.
Khawar is also an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer and Senior Clinical Teacher at Imperial College London and is actively involved in national guideline committees and numerous research trials in his current role. He is passionate about widening access to evidence-based, effective skin treatments for everyone.

Shendy Engelina

Dr Shendy Engelina is a Consultant Dermatologist and Clinical Service Lead at Dermatica. She also practices at St. George’s Hospital in London. Dr. Engelina completed her specialty training at St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and undertook a clinical fellowship at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology — part of Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London.
With a keen interest in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Engelina is experienced in treating diverse skin types. She is passionate about evidence-based skincare and empowering patients to achieve optimal skin health while enhancing their natural beauty.
An active member of the British Association of Dermatologists, Dr Engelina is dedicated to advancing clinical education and promoting innovative dermatological practices.
